Very nice Shankar. I've been there, but mine did not turn out as well as these. Good job!

It was just one of those days, lost sense of time, was physically and mentally present in the environment and as the sun went down the image happened. Blissful experience. Thanks Joe for your comments.

I love horizons layered on one another, receding into the mist. The rays of light and unmistakable shapes of rocky buttes and mesas make what is almost a natural abstract instantly recognizable as being from the American Southwest. This is one of my two pod's in the Best of Minimalism in Photography group for March 13.

Thanks Nikolyn for your comments.

Grand Canyon overwhelms our senses through its immense size and to me it was a spiritual experience. In this project the layers of complex rock formation is captured as an abstraction to share my experience.

Shankar Adiseshan born in India is a Canadian artist known for his captivating exploration of abstract photography, utilizing intricate camera techniques such as multiple exposure and long exposure to craft evocative imagery. His work transcends the realm of traditional photography, focusing on the interpretation of emotions rather than merely documenting subjects. Although Shankar is entirely self-taught, his artistic journey began with a profound early influence from his mother, who possessed an exceptional sense of colour and created exquisite art objects with practical uses, such as jewellery, handbags, necklaces, and bangles. Her creativity and artistic prowess motivated Shankar to embark on a path of drawing and painting. While...
