Description
Grand Canyon National Park, in Arizona, is home to much of the immense Grand Canyon, with its layered bands of red rock revealing millions of years of geological history. Grand Canyon overwhelms our senses through its immense size and to me it was a spiritual experience. In this project the layers of complex rock formation is captured as an abstraction to share my experience.

Very nice Shankar. I've been there, but mine did not turn out as well as these. Good job!

It was just one of those days, lost sense of time, was physically and mentally present in the environment and as the sun went down the image happened. Blissful experience. Thanks Joe for your comments.

I love horizons layered on one another, receding into the mist. The rays of light and unmistakable shapes of rocky buttes and mesas make what is almost a natural abstract instantly recognizable as being from the American Southwest. This is one of my two pod's in the Best of Minimalism in Photography group for March 13.
